ALPEX IVAR

What is the composite multilayer ALPEX pipe?Quality combined with technological flexibility and advancement is behind the success of the highest quality plastic pipe supplied by IVAR CS. The multilayer ALPEX pipe consists of three material layers: an inner and an outer layer made of polyethylene and a middle dimensionally stable layer of laser-welded aluminium. The way the aluminium layer is joined has a significant impact on higher tensile strength, pressure resistance and ensures an even layer of aluminium around the entire circumference of the multilayer pipe. These three layers are mutually connected by a special adhesive material. The construction of the multilayer ALPEX pipe meets the highest requirements for operating and functional conditions with an expected extremely long service life. In the range of IVAR CS there are two basic types of multilayer pipe, depending on the material design. The multilayer pipe IVAR.ALPEX-DUO XS is composed of an outer layer of high-density polyethylene PE-HD, an aluminium layer and an inner layer of cross-linked polyethylene (PE-HD/AL/PE-X). The second type of multilayer pipe IVAR.TURATEC is composed of an outer layer of polyethylene, an inner layer of aluminium and an inner layer of polyethylene (PE-RT/AL/PE-RT), as well as IVAR.AL-PERT. The thickness of the aluminium layer is one of the important factors determining the quality of the pipe, along with the plastic material. Its thickness varies from 0.2 to 1.35 mm depending on the dimensions of the multilayer pipe. |
