    The air-to-water heat pump extracts energy directly from the outside air using the outdoor unit, thus cooling the outside air and the energy obtained is upgraded by the refrigeration circuit driven by the compressor to a higher temperature level. The heat obtained at the appropriate temperature level is then transferred to the heating system or hot water.
    This is currently the most widely used type of heat pump in our region (Central Europe). Some models can operate at outside temperatures as low as -25 degrees. This type provides a comprehensive and flexible solution for heating, cooling and hot water heating.

     Advantages of air-to-water heat pumps: 

    • Requires almost no land
    • Possibility of cooling in summer months (cooling operation with compressor)
    • Low operating costs (savings compared to electric heating 75 %, compared to gas up to 50 %)
    • Fast and simple installation 

    Thermia iTec XTR: 

    • Excellent performance throughout the year (SCOP 5.1)  
    • Natural refrigerant R290 /propane/ has GWP 0.02
    • Operates at outside temperatures down to −25 °C
    • Thanks to new technology, the output temperature is up to 75 °C
    • Sufficient hot water (240 – 250 liters)
    • Very low noise level (45 dB(A))
    • Has the possibility of cooling in standard equipment
    • Function for cooperation with photovoltaics as optional accessories
    • Online control of the heat pump from any location
    • The indoor unit iTec XTR has a clean white front, the outdoor unit is equally elegant with a matte black surface
