Advantages of heat pumps:
|
Air - water
Air-to-water heat pumps have the advantage of simple installation and are a suitable choice in Slovakia and the Czech Republic due to the cold outdoor temperatures. It should be noted that Thermia produces only heat pumps with a closed, filled and tested refrigerant circuit directly at the factory (external compact units), thus achieving maximum operational reliability of the device, unlike split-type units. The range includes Thermia Athena, Thermia iTec Eco and Thermia iTec XTR models covering power ranges from 5–36 kW. Air-source heat pumps generate noise due to their fans. In some cases, this becomes a limiting factor that prevents or complicates the use of air-source heat pumps. Thermia pays attention to low noise emission levels. Thanks to modern technology, the use of composite fan blades and variable fan speeds, the operation of the Thermia Athena, Thermia iTec Eco and Thermia iTec XTR heat pumps is very quiet.
Ground - water
Ground-to-water heat pumps are a traditional solution in the more northern regions, such as Scandinavia. Here in Slovakia or the Czech Republic, their use is influenced by more complex geological structures and the cost of drilling works. Despite this, a ground-source heat pump is a very good option if the customer prefers a comfortable solution with a more stable source of primary heat. A more financially advantageous solution is a horizontal ground collector, which in addition to a lower initial cost also offers annual self-regeneration during the summer. For the residential sector, the range includes models Thermia Atlas, Thermia Calibra, Calibra Cool, Calibra Eco and Thermia Diplomat Optimum G3, covering power ranges from 1.5–30 kW. For the commercial sector and apartment buildings, the Thermia Mega heat pump is intended, with which it is possible to achieve outputs in the MW range by cascading (master-slave).
| Thermia is a company with extensive background, including a research and development centre located in Swedish Arvika. Thermia has a registered range of patents for hot water preparation, for example TWS and HGW. |
