Loctite 55 is a general-purpose thread sealant, which in the form of a rope is wound directly from the packaging onto the pipe thread. It is supplied in ready-to-use packaging, in which it is stored and from which it is applied directly. It is recommended for sealing conical and cylindrical threads on metal and plastic pipes and fittings up to 4 inches in size.
Loctite 55 is particularly suitable for threaded assemblies that require immediate use and where the possibility of slight back rotation for adjusting the correct position is desired. Suitable for permanent contact with potable water - for use in industrial applications in water and other fluid distribution systems.
